you can download the sdk and the emulator it is java based so it should be a relatively easy port. I f you need any help with this please let me know I would like to get this to the pre not too many people are using treos and centros anymore this would be a great app because the pre is lacking good apps at this point if you want me to help just please let me know thanks

Hi,
I know that.
Could not make sure from the SDK how much access into telephony stuff developers are given.
And - to make sure I post the best stable & good solution - I need a real device to test on.

Simon - fabulous work on aTAKEphONE… using it on my Motorola Droid now and really like it, but (there’s always a ‘but’, isn’t there?)…
To be useful as a replacement dialpad on an Android phone, the screen display has to be able to rotate to match the orientation of the phone. I know I am not alone in using my Droid in horizontal (landscape) mode more than 50% of the time due to use in the Car Dock and in the desktop ‘mediadock’ station.
Any chance that screen orientation is coming?
(sorry for the double post - I put this in the wrong topic earlier)

Thanks.
By landscape do you mean when you tilt the phone, or when you open the hardware keyboard ?
aTAKEphONE should rotate when you open the kayboard - allowing you to search using the keyboard.
